Are you just starting out blogging and trying to get a handle on WordPress? The best option for bloggers is to go with a self-hosted site. I use Bluehost. It’s one of the most popular web hosting providers out there, and it’s best known for its beginner-friendly WordPress hosting and services. PLUS you get a free domain for your first year!
Once you sign up for Bluehost, you’ll receive step by step instructions on how to get your site started. I found it to be a really seamless process and recommend it to any new blogger.

I always find the most exciting part of starting a new website is designing the blog theme. While WordPress offers a ton of free blog themes, I decided I wanted something more creative-looking and more sophisticated. As I was browsing designs I came across Bluechic and I fell in LOVE with their blog themes.

- SEO-Friendly: They incorporate schema.org microdata built-in to help search engines easily read your site’s content.
- Newsletter Sign-Up Form: Enable newsletter options and embed your newsletter form code to increase newsletter sign-ups.
- WooCommerce Ready: I’m not ready to open an online store, but it’s great to know this is an option if/when I am ready!
